FAQ
What are the common ways to represent the zinc coated weight of galvanized sheet
Release time:2025-03-07
The Zinc coated weight of galvanized sheet is usually recorded by label or coating code, and there are several common ways to express it:
1. Z+number (Chinese standard GB/T 2518)
Representation method: Use the letter "Z" to represent galvanized sheet, and the following number represents the weight of the galvanized layer per square meter (unit: gram).
Example:
Z80: The weight of the galvanized layer per square meter is 80g/m2.
Z120: The weight of the galvanized layer per square meter is 120g/m2.
2. AZ+number (Japanese standard JIS G 3302)
Representation method: Use the letter "AZ" to represent galvanized sheet, and the following number represents the weight of the galvanized layer per square meter (unit: gram).
Example:
AZ50: The weight of the galvanized layer per square meter is 50g/m2.
AZ150: The weight of the galvanized layer per square meter is 150g/m2.
3. G+number (American standard ASTM A653)
Representation method: Use the letter "G" to represent galvanized sheet, and the following number represents the weight of the galvanized layer per square foot (unit: ounce).
Example:
G90: The weight of the galvanized layer per square foot is 0.90 ounces (approximately 275 grams per square meter).
G60: The weight of the galvanized layer per square foot is 0.60 ounces (approximately 183 grams per square meter).
4. Z+number+number (weight of double-sided galvanized layer)
Representation method: Use the letter "Z" to represent galvanized sheet, and the following two numbers represent the weight of the double-sided galvanized layer per square meter (unit: gram).
Example:
Z80/80: The weight of the double-sided galvanized layer per square meter is 80 grams.
Z120/90: The weight of the galvanized layer on the front side is 120 grams per square meter, and on the back side it is 90 grams.
5. DX+number+number (double-sided differential thickness galvanized layer weight)
Representation method: Use the letter "DX" to represent the differential thickness galvanized sheet, and the following two numbers respectively represent the weight of the galvanized layer on the front and back sides per square meter (unit: gram).
Example:
DX120/90: The weight of the galvanized layer on the front side is 120 grams per square meter, and on the back side it is 90 grams.
