In order to meet the various needs of our customers, Zebra Steel officially launched the new product - aluminum coil/sheet. According to the different metal elements contained in aluminum coils, aluminum products  can be roughly divided into 9 series:

1. 1000 series

1000 series aluminum is also known as pure aluminum, in all series 1000 series belong to a series with the largest amount of aluminum. The purity can reach more than 99.00%. Because it does not contain other technical elements, the production process is relatively simple and the price is relatively cheap. It is the most commonly used series in conventional industry at present.

2. 2000 Series

On behalf of 2A16(LY16) 2A06(LY6)2000 series aluminum coil is characterized by high hardness, with the highest content of copper, about 3-5%. 2000 series aluminum coil belongs to aviation aluminum material, which is not often used in conventional industry.

3.  3000 series

3003, 3003, 3A21 aluminum coil is most commonly used. It can also be called anti-rust aluminum. 3000 series aluminum rolls are made of manganese as the main component. The content is between 1.0 and 1.5. It is a series with better rust prevention function. Commonly used in air conditioning, refrigerator, car bottom and other humid environment, the price is higher than 1000 series.

4.  4000 series

The aluminum coils representing 4A01 4000 series belong to the series with higher silicon content. The silicon content is usually between 4.5 to 6.0%. With low melting point, good corrosion resistance, it’s widely used as construction materials, mechanical parts, forging materials, welding materials.

5. 5000 Series

Popular grades are 5052, 5005,5083, 5A05 series. The main element is magnesium whose content between is 3-5%. It can also be called aluminum magnesium alloy.

6. 6000 Series

Representative is 6061, mainly contains magnesium and silicon, so it has the advantages of 4000 series and 5000 series. 6061 is a cold treatment aluminum forging product, suitable for corrosion resistance, oxidation requirements of high applications.

7.  7000 series

Representative is 7075, contains mainly zinc. Also belongs to the aviation series, is aluminum magnesium zinc copper alloy, is a heat treatable alloy, belongs to the super hard aluminum alloy, has good wear resistance.

8. 8000 Series

The more commonly used is 8011. Most applications are aluminum foil.

9. 9000 series

Belongs to the alternate series, the International aluminum coil Federation lists 9000 series for the alternate series.
